FaithSets study

In short

This study presents a Bible-based timeline using the Anno Hominis calendar, Jubilee cycles, prophetic time patterns, and key biblical events to show why the time is short. It argues that mankind is close to the end of the 6000-year labor period and that readers should prepare themselves for Jesus Christ.

This study is for

  • Readers who want to understand the biblical timeline behind the claim that the time is short.
  • Believers who want to study Jubilee cycles, prophetic years, and the 6000-year pattern of mankind’s labor.
  • People who want to prayerfully examine whether we are living close to the return of Jesus Christ.

Questions answered in this study

  • Why does the study connect 6000 years of labor with 1000 years of rest?
  • How do Jubilee years help explain the biblical timeline?
  • How does the study connect the Anno Hominis calendar to the Gregorian calendar?
  • Why does the study argue that Jesus died in 30 AD?
  • Why does the study say we should know the season, but not the exact day and hour?
  • Why should readers prepare themselves now?
Main message

The main message of this study is that the biblical timeline points to urgency. Scripture says we cannot know the exact day and hour, but we can recognize the season. The study therefore calls readers to verify the timeline prayerfully, search the Scriptures, and be ready for Jesus Christ.

1 AH   (3966 BC)

Birth Adam

Genesis 2:7 – “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”

Note 1: In modern-day counting, a child’s age is considered to be 0 at birth. However, in the Bible, a child is counted as being in his 1st year immediately after birth.

Note 2: We use the Anno Hominis counting, which starts at the birth of Adam.
130 AH   (3837 BC)

Birth Seth

Genesis 5:3 – “And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth.”

Note: Since it is unclear whether Seth was born in the first or second half of his father’s year, we statistically compensate for this uncertainty by subtracting half a year.
We do this for all pre-flood patriarchs, which will statistically give us the best results.
In the case of Seth we calculate with 129.5 AH.
For displaying purposes, we will show full years.
234 AH   (3733 BC)

Birth Enos

Genesis 5:6 – “And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos:”

129.5 + 104.5 = 234.0 AH.
In the case of Seth we calculate with 129.5 AH.
For displaying purposes, we will show full years.
324 AH   (3643 BC)

Birth Cainan

Genesis 5:9 – “And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan:”

234.0 + 89.5 = 323.5 AH.
393 AH   (3574 BC)

Birth Mahalaleel

Genesis 5:12 – “And Cainan lived seventy years, and begat Mahalaleel:”

323.5 + 69.5 = 393.0 AH.
458 AH   (3509 BC)

Birth Jared

Genesis 5:15 – “And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared:”

393.0 + 64.5 = 457.5 AH.
619 AH   (3348 BC)

Birth Enoch

Genesis 5:18 – “And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch:”

457.5 + 161.5 = 619.0 AH.
684 AH   (3283 BC)

Birth Methuselah

Genesis 5:21 – “And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:”

619.0 + 64.5 = 683.5 AH.
870 AH   (3097 BC)

Birth Lamech

Genesis 5:25 – “And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech:”

683.5 + 186.5 = 870.0 AH.
1052 AH   (2915 BC)

Birth Noah

Genesis 5:28-29a – “And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: And he called his name Noah,”

870.0 + 181.5 = 1051.5 AH.
1651 AH   (2316 BC)

The Beginning of the Great Flood

Genesis 7:11 – “In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.”

1051.5 + 599.5 = 1651.0 AH.
1652 AH   (2315 BC)

The End of the Great Flood

Genesis 8:13 – “And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from of the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.”

1651.0 + 1 = 1652,0, for it was a full year.
1654 AH   (2313 BC)

Birth Arphaxad

Genesis 11:10 – “These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood:”

1652.0 + 1.5 = 1653.5 AH.
1688 AH   (2279 BC)

Birth Salah

Genesis 11:12 – “And Arphaxad lived five and thirty years, and begat Salah:”

1653.5 + 34.5 = 1688.0 AH.
1718 AH   (2249 BC)

Birth Eber

Genesis 11:14 – “And Salah lived thirty years, and begat Eber:”

1688.0 + 29.5 = 1717.5 AH.
1751 AH   (2216 BC)

Birth Peleg

Genesis 11:16 – “And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg:”

1717.5 + 33.5 = 1751.0 AH.
1781 AH   (2186 BC)

Birth Reu

Genesis 11:18 – “And Peleg lived thirty years, and begat Reu:”

1751.0 + 29.5 = 1780.5 AH.
1812 AH   (2155 BC)

Birth Serug

Genesis 11:20 – “And Reu lived two and thirty years, and begat Serug:”

1780.5 + 31.5 = 1812.0 AH.
1842 AH   (2125 BC)

Birth Nahor

Genesis 11:22 – “And Serug lived thirty years, and begat Nahor:”

1812.0 + 29.5 = 1841.5 AH.
1870 AH   (2097 BC)

Birth Terah

Genesis 11:24 – “And Nahor lived nine and twenty years, and begat Terah:”

1841.5 + 28.5 = 1870.0 AH.
2000 AH   (1967 BC)

Birth Abram in a Jubilee Year

Birth Abram in a Jubilee Year
Genesis 11:32 – “And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.”

Acts 7:4 – “Then came he out of the land of the Chaldæans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.”

Genesis 12:4 – “So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.”

1870.0 + 204.5 – 74.5 = 2000 AH.

Note: Terah was 204.5 – 74.5 = 130 when Abram was born.
2100 AH   (1867 BC)

Birth Isaac in a Jubilee Year

Birth Isaac in a Jubilee Year
Genesis 21:5 – “And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.”

2000 + 100 = 2100 AH.
2500 AH   (1467 BC)

Exodus Out of Egypt in the Jubilee Year of Jubilee Years (50 X 50)

Exodus Out of Egypt in the Jubilee Year of Jubilee Years (50 X 50)
Genesis 15:13 – “And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;”

Acts 7:6 – “And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years.”

Abrams offspring starts with the birth of Isaac, who was born in 2100 AH.
We have to count 400 full years for the Exodus to happen: 2100 + 400.0 = 2500 AH.

Note: Isaac was 60 years when Jacob was born (Genesis 25:26b – “and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.”). Jacob was 130 years when he arrived in Egypt (Genesis 47:9 – “And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are an hundred and thirty years: few and evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.”). So the people of Israel stayed in Egypt for: 400 – 60 – 130 = 210 years.

Start Building the Temple & Solomon = 4 Years in Power

1 Kings 6:1 – “And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.”

2500 + 480 = 2980 AH
3000 AH   (967 BC)

Finished Construction of the Temple & God’s Threat to Solomon in a Jubilee Year

Finished Construction of the Temple & God’s Threat to Solomon in a Jubilee Year
1 Kings 9:10 – “And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the LORD, and the king’s house,”

Here we calculate with 20 full years as it is mentioned it was the end of these years: 2980 + 20 = 3000 AH.

We also should mention that God warned Salomon in the prior verses that his sin would lead to destruction. God never does anything without saying, as to give people a chance to repent:

1 Kings 9:6,7 – “But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them: Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:”

Later when Israel was cut off from the land, we take this as reference in our counting.
3430 AH   (537 BC)

Prophesy of Ezekiel’s Siege Against Jerusalem

Ezekiel had to lay a (mini) siege against Jerusalem and had to lay on his left side for 390 days:

Ezekiel 4:5 – “For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.”

and on his right side for 40 days:

Ezekiel 4:6 – “And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.”

Together this made up 430 years, counting from the year that Solomon was threatened by God that his sin would lead to destruction.

390 + 40 = 430 years: 3000 + 430 = 3430 AH.
3500 AH   (467 BC)

70 Years of Desolation Before the Decree to Rebuild Jerusalem (In a Jubilee Year) by Cyrus

70 Years of Desolation Before the Decree to Rebuild Jerusalem (In a Jubilee Year) by Cyrus
Counting from Ezekiel Siege: 3430 + 70 = 3500.

Alternative count: the 70 years of desolation were to compensate for the normal Jubilee Years in the past period:

2 Chronicles 36:21 – “To fulfill the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfill threescore and ten years.”

These 70 years contain 10 Sabbatical Years where this rule should be expected under normal obedience.
This means that we have 70-10=60 Sabbatical Years left for compensation of the past years.

We have 7 normal Sabbatical Years in each Jubilee Cycle, so 60/7 = 8,57 Jubilee Cycles, which comprises 8.57 * 50 = 428,57 years, which encompasses exactly 60 Sabbatical Years counting from the year 3000 where God had threatened Salomon to not sin!

These 70 Sabbatical Years, including Jubilee Years make up 500 years. We now have 2 routes leading to the same year.
3550 AH   (417 BC)

The First 7 Weeks of Years of Daniel (=1 Jubilee Cycle)

The First 7 Weeks of Years of Daniel (=1 Jubilee Cycle)
Daniel 9:24,25a – “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, …”

This is one Jubilee Year = 3500 + 50 = 3550 AH.
3992 AH   (25 AD)

Followed by Daniels 62 Weeks of Years

Daniel 9:25b – “… and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.”

This is the beginning of Jesus’ 3.5 years ministry.

62 * 49 + 8 = 422 years: 3550 + 422 = 3992 AH.

Note 1: Jesus was about 30 years when He was baptized, so we can calculate the approximate year of His birth: Luke 3: 23 – “And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,”. If we consider the word ‘about’ as uncertainty we can build in an error margin of + or – 1 year, which would be between 3961 AB (-6 BC) and 3963 AH (-4 BC).

Note 2: Some translations like Etheridge translated from Aramaic renders: “NOW Jeshu himself was as a son of thirty years, and was considered the son of Jauseph bar Heli,”, which would mean 3962 AH (= -5 BC) would be a reasonable assumption.
3996 AH   (30 AD)

Jesus’ Death in the Middle of the 70th Week of Daniel

Jesus’ Death in the Middle of the 70th Week of Daniel
While many think that the last week of Daniel is still to come and talks about the antichrist, if you read it carefully you will discover that this is spoken of about Jesus Christ Himself, as words ‘confirm the covenant’ indicate When Christ died after 3.5 years of ministry which started with the baptizing in the Jordan, He caused the sacrifice in the Temple to cease, which was marked by the renting of the veil of the Holy of Holies.

Daniel 9:27 “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”

3992 + 3.5 = 3995.5 AH.
3999 AH   (33 AD)

Stephen Stoned Seeing Jesus Standing, Which Ends All Miracles

The overspreading of abominations, we believe, talks about the rejection of St. Stephen in 3999AH, after which the Gospel is ‘poured’ on the desolate, rest of the world: Daniel 9:27 “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”

3995.5 + 3.5 = 3999 AH.

This now marks the end of an era. The next era starts in 4000AH where we see St. Paul bringing the Gospel to the rest of the world.
4000 AH (?)   (34 AD)

The Church Period Started by Paul

This year is not precisely given in the bible. We can however safely assume that Paul started his ministry shortly after Stephen died.

The Start of the New Millennium in Which Jesus Will Reign

The Start of the New Millennium in Which Jesus Will Reign
We cannot exactly pinpoint the date for the start of the new millennium, however we believe that it will start around this date.
That said we can also safely assume that the start of the reign of Jesus on this earth will come in phases.

Frequently asked questions

What does 5992 AH mean?

AH stands for Anno Hominis, meaning the year count from Adam according to the timeline used in this study. The page argues that the current year is 5992 AH, placing mankind close to the 6000-year mark.

Why does this study use a 6000-year timeline?

The study connects the six days of labor and the seventh day of rest with a larger prophetic pattern: 6000 years of human labor followed by 1000 years of rest under the reign of Jesus Christ.

Why are Jubilee years important in this study?

Jubilee years are important because they point to restoration, liberty, and release. The study uses 120 Jubilee periods of 50 years to arrive at a 6000-year period and highlights major biblical events that fall on Jubilee years.

Does this study claim to know the exact day and hour?

No. The study acknowledges that Jesus said no one knows the exact day and hour. It focuses on recognizing the season, not predicting an exact date.

Why does the study connect Jesus’ death to 30 AD?

The study argues that Jesus died on Nisan 14, on a Wednesday, and uses this as an anchor point to connect the biblical Anno Hominis timeline to the Gregorian calendar.

What should readers do with this timeline?

Readers are encouraged to verify the timeline for themselves, search the Scriptures prayerfully, and prepare themselves for Jesus Christ instead of delaying repentance and faith.
